Members Cams
A pair of Marshall MXL 603S mics. Good value for money IMO - hear some recordings on my site: Recordings All but the top four and minidisc recordings are done with those mics. Members kennyk
gotta give my vote for the RODE NT1 or NT3 Mics. unbelieveable quality for price, IMO
Members redstevo
Behringer B1, Rode NT1 (when I can borrow one) and Sure sm58. Put the Rode or B1 in front of the guitar in the time honoured fashion and the 58 just over my shoulder, pointing down to the guitar near my ear. Members rduke
An AKG c1000s (sm diaphram) and Rode NT1 (large). Sometimes both, either/or depending upon the part being laid down. The preamp is a modest MAudio AudioBuddy. Rick

Members Joost
I use a Rode NT1a (condenser large diapraghm)! Great mic and with a selfnoise of only 5db it is better than most mics up to $1000,- for only a fraction of the price. check out my recording for a taste of its clarity and detail (also: no filters, so this is how quiet it is): recording with Rode NT1a This is the link to the site. Go check it out:rode NT1a specs
