My buddy is shopping for a new acoustic (or used) and will have $1000 US to drop .So what brands or models jump to mind ? He has a Yamaki deluxe which is a pretty good sounding guitar by my ears but he's ready to move on . so we got Martin , taylor , Larrivee + Gibson locally plus a bunch of what you might call the lesser brands .
