Members ScottIans Beard
Im primarily an electric player trying to "bridge the gap (and maybe learn some real guitar, lol)", excuse my ignorance!! Who makes a good (buy inexpensive) nylon string cutaway acoustic guitar? This would be my beginners nylon string, so nothing fancy is required, although a pickup would be good If anyone has some suggestions, please drop them in this thread Thanks
Members ScottIans Beard
oh, and seeing as im an electric player, a thin(ish) neck is a plus, or maybe one that isnt such a severe D shape like some that i have played

Members JasonA
You have to define cheap. You can still get an all solid wood Lucida Artista Concerto for just under $500. That's pretty cheap for what it is. If you're going used, the old Guild Mark I/II/III/IV guitars have an excellent reputation and usually go for $200-400 on Ebay. The old Yamahas (like the G255-II and others) sound terrific despite having a laminate back. Cutaway guitars are typically a lot more expensive. You might look at the used Yairi cutaways on Ebay, which typically sell for $500-600.
Members JasonA
This one looks pretty reasonable for a cutaway... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2372646910&category=2385 Slightly thinner neck than the usual classical (50mm instead of 52mm). There's also a non-cutaway Esteve 3ST64 with a narrower neck (48mm) that can be had for around $400 without case.
