Members hockey_musician
Hey everyone.... Ive been playing for a while now and i said to myself one day....lets hear how i sound....so using my really crappy mike....and a program called sound recorder....i recorded a 30 second clip of myself....now im happy with my progress but.... How come when I record i seem to hear the pick striking the strings, giving a distinct clicking sound...im using a light nylon pick, (60mm) and i was wondering if u hear that on all recordings.... Members seven7
picks will always make some sort of sound on the strings. my guess is when you put the mic in front of the guitar and record you hear it more b/c the mic is closer to the strings and that area than your ears are when you're playing. so the mic 'hears' it differently than your ears do.
