Members Jere Mealer
I purchased some AMT externally-mounted mics for my two guitars. These are temporary-mount units, and therefore I need to do something to secure the cords to the outside of the guitars so I don't step on them or catch them on something when playing live. What do people do with Sunrise or Bagg M1 soundhole pickups that are not wired through the endpin? Will tape (double-sided or otherwise) damage the finish of the guitar when removed? Any experience, thoughts, expertise, or admonitions?
Members Andrewrg
If your finishes are nitro cellulose then I would advise caution-check with the manufacturer. Plastic, polyester finishes are generally impervious to things like double sided tape.
Members fingerpicker
Maybe a little putty, like the type used for the round soundboard pickups?
