Members Dave Curtis
Anyone have any idea what this guitar might be worth (ball-park) it's a Goya GG-10 Cov. serial # 51980, handmade in Sweden, imported by Dude Inc. which dates this guitar from 1972. All solid woods, Alpine spruce top, Swedish birch back and sides, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, 3-on-a-plate tuners, celluloid nut and saddle. This is a folk guitar that can be strung with either nylon strings or silk & steel low tension strings. It is now set up with Martin Silk & Steel 11s and the guitar sounds sweet and focused. Original nitrocellulose finish in very good condition, some checking on the top, no cracks whatsoever. Thanks-:
Members timothy
For what it's worth, I saw a Goya GG-10 in a music store in Asheville, NC the other day. They said it was from the mid-sixities. It had some serious finish checking but otherwise seemed okay. They were asking $500. Hope this helps. timothy
