Members Lucas S.
I just got my new EF-500R and it has a satin finish so I didn't know if I could use my regular guitar polish or if I needed a specific kind. Thanks for any suggestions.
Members ronin32
I belive for satin finish guitars, like my Taylor 110, regular guitar polish isnt recomened. Taylor suggests using a damp soft cloth, then wiping it off with a dry cloth after.
Members nylon rock
I think polish will make a satin into a gloss. At least it does with nitrocellulose. So if it does, what you would have over time would be glossy patches here and there. Not a pretty picture.
Members Lucas S.
Thanks guys. I've got a couple surface scuffs from the pick, is there anyway to get rid of them. Lucas
Members ronin32
A really nice sticker.Or just chalk it up to actually playing the guitar like it was made for.
Members nylon rock
Not sure if they are really pick scratches for you. Most always, the scratches on my gutar are fingernail scratches. Get enough of these and they actually look good en mass. Lends a nice worn in look. After a few years when you look at your guitar, you'll see all sorts of unknown scratches. As long as they aren't deep, just superficial, everything is "normal." The integrity of the guitar is what really matters. Be careful with it and it will age beautifully.
