Members b0dah
I am looking at buying one of the Seagull Artist series guitars. I am not getting electronics, but from a sound and aesthetic standpoint, the cameo which features a spruce top, and maple sides and back, seems to be the best option. does anyone have experience with these guitars? Members Rada
The best option? Well, it depends what you're looking for....if you want that bright, loud sound then, yes, it's a great guitar....but if you're looking for a more mellow, warm sound then definitely not I've played this guitar at NAMM and at my Godin dealer....I enjoy it, but it's not something I gas for
Members Steverino
I have one. Like Rada says, it's bright and loud, but not as much as you'd think with all the spruce and maple. I sat down with several Seagulls, and after an hour had wittled it down to the Cameo and an S6 cedar which I really liked. It broke in within 3 months, but I play it quite a lot, and gig with it too. It's got the cheaper Quantum II electronics, but I run it through a Baggs PADI and it sounds great.
