Members es336td
Just picked up one of these at a pawn shop for $70. It was missing the switch tip and one of the nut clamps. Well, I just changed the strings. The Floyd Rose is a Floyd Rose licensed copy. Rather than have the screws for the bridge clamps, they are tubes. The previous owner had threaded the strings through the tubes instead of cutting the ball end. Well, it strings up, but the bridge is WAY up off the body. I opened up the tremolo cover and the thing has just two springs. It appears the previous owner wanted it to bend up more than down. I am more of a Bigsby or Strat tremolo kind of guy, but figured for $70. what the hell. I have more springs and can crank the claw down much more. Any other tricks? Am I using the damn thing wrong? Thanx. L
Members es336td
Just figured out that I have a single locking Floyd and it is working as designed. Need to beef up the springs.
Members es336td
Used it live this past Friday. It does what I want. I ordered a D-Tuna, but it appears that it will only work on a double locking system. Has anyone tried one of these on the single locking?
