Members Kaux
Hi, 2 questions... What is Flame Maple, is it solid? Is there a great difference between a solid top and a laminated top? if so, what is the "less worse" flamed top to look for?
Members babablowfish
Here is a picture of flamed maple - it is the back of my Parkwood PW340FM Jumbo. Flamed Maple is either solid or laminated depending upon whether or not it is.... on whether or not it is .... solid or laminated. ' alt='>'> Solid tops generally, although not always, have better tone than laminates.

Members Kaux
Thanks... i thought the "Flame" part meant a lamination process or something. English is not my first language, so it sounded weird to me
Members moctzal
Wood on guitars is only solid if the specs directly say so. If it just says "flame maple" it's almost definitely laminate.
