yeah Mb, Rob's done a lot of good work both in playing and transcribing early Scots music on various stringd instruments as well as 'Early' plucked string music.

The guitar lute and cittern goes back many centuries in Scots history, they all seem to have been a 'fingerpickers' replacement for the celtic harp and continued to play and save a great deal through notation.
