Members Aaron Cheney Posted April 26, 2005 Members Share Posted April 26, 2005 The main reason is that the Strat-type guitar is the most popular kind by leaps and bounds.Another reason is that they are "modular" and easy to customize: you can make a guitar with any set of options by simply assembling the necessary parts, as opposed to having to build them one at a time per the buyer's specs.
