Second guitar.

I've got a MIM strat which I keep in standard tuning. Often I'll want to switch to drop C to play certain songs I like, but it's a pain having to switch back between drop C and standard daily.

I'm looking for an inexpensive guitar I can keep in a low tuning to play around with. Since I've got a strat, I want something with humbuckers. All that really matters to me is that it is not total {censored}, and that it has a well designed neck so low tuned strings won't easily wobble.

I need something under $250. What I'm looking at so far:

Any other suggestions?

You are new here eh?

You need to check out the agile threads. rondomusic.net has agile and SX guitars. They are exactly what you are looking for. They are no Gibsons, but they are indeed not crap and are very affordable.

Depends on if you want to go with the shorter 24.75" Gibson type scale, or stay with the longer 25.5" Fender scale...

I tried a number of shorter scale guitars, but never could get use to the shorter scale length, even though the guitars were nice players.

Had an Agile 2800 Deluxe with natural finish, and it was a very nice guitar...

Finally said heck with it, and had some custom pickguards made, one with double humbuckers, and a second with full humbucker sized P90's..

I have the best of all worlds now, as I can get the humbucker and P90's tones, and still stay with the longer scale length....
