Members BluesTuesday
Hello, I just got fantastic deal on a AM Tele w/o pickups. This is my first Tele and I don't know with PU to get. Please help me choose a set of PU for her. I play mostly Blues, Classic Rock, Pop and some Jazz. Thanks in advance and have a great day!
Members k4df4l
wow..there are so many out there. I would recommend reading through the pickup forum over on www.tdpri.com or the FDP. Hit the HC reviews too.If you have a budget $$ amount, it would make recommendations easier for folks.
Members acape
I'd recommend some Rio Grandes:www.riograndepickups.comI have a set of the Muy Grandes in a tele I built, and I love them. They are high output with considerable twang, but if you roll the tone off a bit they have a great rock sound as well.I also have a couple Muy Grande humbuckers in a strat, and I love those too. I'm sold on the Rio Grandes.
Members JoeBoy
These might be worth a shot. Note they are not GFS pups.http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=22670&item=7306911912&tc=photo

I have a GFS hot tele lead bridge ordered that should be here any day.

Members hardtdc
I you want traditional sound on a budget, look at True Tone Technologies. Benny has a website up now. He is an excellent PU builder and gets incredible reviews (just check out the ones on HC). Another good choice to look at on a budget is Vintage Vibe Pickups. Both of these won't be budget sounding by any means. They are considered boutique at paupers prices.
