Members dougbeens
I like the sound of a JB pickup because it is an inherantly aggressive and punchy 'bucker... but uncovered humbuckers just don't have as much class as their nickel or gold counterparts... Is there any way to get an aggressive, hot, non-muddy tone from a covered pickup?
Members Cougar Hunter
With the cover, it's kind of like a closet-gay. Without the cover, it's loud, flamboyant, and has mucho fashion/design style.

I want to be able to still get a really outwardly aggressive roar from a covered pickup.

IMHO, all Seymours are gay except for the '59, seth lover, and alnico 2 HB.
