Having had a look at the dimensions of the Special, i'm sure it can be done without having to move the neck pickup. I'm thinking this is the wrong forum, but I can't be assed with the jackasses on the Gibson-only forums who seem to think if it isn't a Standard or Custom, it's Les Paul heresy.
