Members acravero
Hi all, I have an overseas buyer who wishes to purchase one of my instruments. I usually don't deal with overseas deals because of customs & shipping. How involved is it? I would be shipping from US to New Zealand--will he get nailed with customs charges? Is it possible to insure a shipment of this nature? What courier is the fastest/cheapest? Do I need to ship in a hard case? And, as for payment, he wants to wire me the money. He has good feedback, but I'm uncomfortable handing out my checking account numbers. Is there another way to do this, or is this safe? I've heard it's pretty typical in deals from Europe & Asia (people supposedly wire money all the time), but I'm still not very comfortable with it. He hasn't promised me the stars, or said he'd send me a check for $2000 asking for the rest back. He just wants this particular guitar very badly.
