Members Aineias
I've found on my last two guitars that I get fret buzz constantly on my 6th string (low E). I've raised my action, twiddled truss rod etc but it simply will not go away. I'm wondering if it's possible that my technique causes the neck to warp or something. ATM i'm using a Musicman John Petrucci model with a reasonably thin neck. I don't go wit the thumb over technique that many modern guitarists seem to use since my fingers are too short. Any thoughts? Is this a common problem or simply a matter of bad luck on my part?
Members Selsaral
Uhh...well assuming your neck isn't warped (and it's unlikely it is), it sounds like a setup issue. If you pick particularly hard you're going to get buzz even with a solid setup on your guitar. I have a very heavy hand and I suffer with this. But you should be able to minimize the problem with the correct setup.
