Members bluewolf
yeah i know they dont make electrics anymore, but their starfires and bluesbirds were some of the best around and many ways were better than gibson. You can still get guild electrics ( used) for a good price.
Members bluewolf
I meant to say in the underated thread that guild electrics when they were out were vastly underated.
Members Jlliu59
I'd agree with that. Starfires are great guitars
Members guitarcapo
I have this mid 60's Starfire 2 that sounds horrible when you play it acoustically. Like a two by four with strings on it...But when you plug it in....pure jazz heaven. Awesome THICK sound through any amp. It has these minihumbuckers. I've often wondered if the pickups would even sound better if I put them in a good sounding guitar...But I hate to mess with a vintage instrument...and it does sound great. Members jeffcoop
I enjoy my Guild Blues 90 almost as much as I enjoy my Guild acoustics. The neck pickup on the Blues 90 is pure blues heaven.
