Members BlueStrat
I have a frankenstrat I'm building- anyone ever use these Vintage reissue 57/62 pickups? They'll be mostly used for blues, R&B and lower volume gigs. What do y'all think?

I think they are the same pickups you are talking about. I've read on HC reviews, and heard it with my own ears, and I have to say they are great for blues. I usually don't even try stock pickups, but this time I did. these pickups have very wide open sounding dynamic tone, can't describe it well with words, but you get lows and highs evenly with lots of air, hmmmm it doesn't make senes to me either. but that's how I hear it. if you crank up the amp + a compressor, you can get a close enough Hendrix sound. Members Bloozcat
FWIW; I haven't tried them personally, but they are highly regarded among those who have. I hear them mentioned often with the Custom Shop '54's, and the '69's as some of Fender's best single coils.
