Members Bernie Franks
I'm looking for a semihollow or even just a chambered guitar with a tremolo other than a Bigsby, something more along the lines of a Wilkinson like in the Carvin Holdsworth... Looking to keep it under $900, any ideas?

Members Bernie Franks
Originally posted by Hunter6 http://ibanez.com/guitars/guitar.asp?model=AWD83TSomething like that? The layout of that one is really nice, with the volume knob right by the pickup (preference of mine). I glanced at that guitar once or twice but the cheese factor is pretty high. I'm gonna have to see if they stock any of those around here.
Members IdaCrue
I got the Ibanez AWD82T (Last Years Model). The quilted Bubinga is really nice, if you like quilted tops. The guitar plays great and, to me, sounds good too. I did change the tuners to locking tuners to help the guitar keep in tune with some trem work. The trem is pretty substantial and operates smoothly. I got mine on an internet price match from my local dealer for $325.00. You should try it out. I like those AWDs. Those Hipshot style trems are as close to Bigs stabilty as you're gonna get IMO.
Members tim gueguen
Ibanez made the AM75 semihollow in '85 and '86 with their Floyd Rose based Edge bridge. I think they may have had a previous model with one of their "in house" designed trems.
