Stupid

Looking at the Musian's Friend catalog, it makes me think that some guitar buyers are just stupid.

$12,000 for a Gibson Les Paul with an engrave aluminum cap. A craftsman didn't sit and carve that out. It was either stamped, cast or done by a programable lathe and then applied to the guitar. Think now, you take an $899.00 Gibson, slap this cap on it and sell it for $12,000.

Next is the Gold monochorme SG for $5999. Paint it gold, then spray on a think wet coat of mahogany stain, sloppily wrap it in plastic wrap, press it, then remove it and let it dry. Spray a clear coat on and buff.

Then there is the Gibson Explore and the photo of the poor excuse for their version of a relic. It looks like someone dropped it off with their 12 year old and said here play with this. Then slapped the usual Gibson mark up on it. Or did it come from paint with a bad place in the finish and instead redoing you just cut chip that piece out and call it a relic and jack the price up.

Then people have the nerve to say, "well, you get what you pay for". Sure you do, if you're a dumbass.
