Members homestar Posted May 17, 2006 Members Share Posted May 17, 2006 i'm overhauling my old melody maker, would love to add locking tuners that kept the original look (the chrome tulip shape...mmm, so sexy) - do they exist? i think the closest i've found was one of the gotoh ones, but even then it wasn't exact. i don't get it, they make one that would be perfect except it's that...relic'd plastic look or whatever. anyway, any help would be much appreciated! Members whoop Posted May 17, 2006 Members Share Posted May 17, 2006 those tulip gibson tuners suck. why would you want to replace the ones that failed with more of the same {censored} that will fail too? oh, and they look cheap as all hell. plus they're too wide, i keep knocking adjacent ones out of tune when i'm tuning up. get something that works, get a different brand.
