Pitch shift

I have just recorded a large choir singing unacompanied classical and they drop by as much as a tone over a 4 minute piece though they stay in tune with each other. Unless you A/B the first and last bars you cant really tell as it's a gradual process. I have tried to get them up to pitch by using the graphic pitchshift in Cubase but it adds too many strange artifacts. Is there anything that can do this properly or is it really a lost cause.

Try doing small chunks , like one phrase at a time. Maybe between breaths. Melodyne is very good for this sort thing.
