Ok, According to a book I have (Blues Guitar inside and out, cherry lane music Co.) there exist some scales called the relative, wich is the minor pentatonic played three frets below normal, for example, a E relative Scale is simply a Csharp minor pentatonic overlayered with the pentatonic (in E). Do these Scales Really exist? i think the goal of this book is to teach me the twelve notes (overlaying the relative and the m pentatonic gives 8) and after that learn the chromatic fillers. Do I really have to learn these scales? (lazy day)

Just to show you:

Heres The First Pattern of the E minor pentatonic:

E-3-0-------------------------

B------3-0--------------------

G-----------2-0---------------

D----------------2-0----------

A---------------------2-0-----

E--------------------------3-0

An Here it's the same pattern with the E relative overlayered:

E-3-2-0------------------------------

B--------3-2-0-----------------------

G---------------2-1-0----------------

D----------------------2-0------------

A---------------------------2-0-------

E--------------------------------3-2-0

This can work with every minor pentatonic, just remember:

The Relative Scale is three frets down the actual minor pentatonic!

Ps. Should this be on the lesson loft?

Pps. heh, looks like subsconscioulsy I learned the scales. Off to practice now!
