Members Milkman1 Posted June 22, 2006 Members Share Posted June 22, 2006 You have to balance the bridge to the string tension. Your claw is tightened in too far. Start by backing off the claw screws a couple of turns. Then tune the guitar to pitch. Keep adjusting in this manner until the bridge plate is parallel to the body when tuned to pitch. If you get it tuned and the bridge is now leaning forward instead of backward, tighten the claw a bit, tune , check. As I said, the goal is to have the bridge level when tuned to pitch. It sometimes takes a bit of back and forth adjustment. Once it's done, it should be pretty stable. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
