I guess nut materials will vary in price, but I don't know what type of nut would be best...just something better than plastic with the high E slot cut too damn low. I have been looking to do the same thing and here is what I found: Replacment nut labor is $48 and the nut is around $5-10 Full set up with polishing frets and doing the whole deal is about $60 A basic set up just intonation neck adjust bridge etc. is about $38 Hope that helps.
