Members fuzzylogic220
is it true that their pick up sizes are not the same as other companies pickups?????? i heard this i duno if its tru tho
Members Tshields14
heres mine, Its a CT4 because I wanted a plain top. No floyd though, I got a Wilky. And yah the pickups are a tad smaller,(dimarzios fit) you just have to sandpaper a tiny tiny bit and its fine for all others.
Members ratkent
For Seymour Duncans you will have to change the bezel but otherwise the pickups fit with no mod to the body.

Members fuzzylogic220
are the floyd's on them floating like an ibanez or confined to only lowering the pitch like a wolfgang?
Members ratkent
Mine is set up floating. I can easily raise the pitch of the open G string a minor third (a step and a half). It's hard for me to enjoy a Floyd Rose that only goes down in pitch.

Members IPlayMetronome
Phat Cat loaded CT6M.Its the best guitar i've played.I had a CT4 with the plain maple top and it was equally good, the difference is purely asthetic.

Members Speed_Racer71
since Carvin goes out of the way to make it to customers specs..i wonder if they would be willing to scrap the tom bridge and put in a stop tail like on a PRS..hmmm ..id even send them the stop tail if they would drill the holes..then id have a guitar like a want..something close to a PRS but the small neck heel like on the older ones ..i think ill email them and ask..maybe paul wouldnt sue them just over a tail piece

Members IPlayMetronome
The CT6 comes stock with abalone dots, the CT3&4 come with mother of pearl dots.Thats the only difference feature wiseCT4 is plain maple top on mahogany CT3 is all mahogany.Bang for the buck?I took my CT6 to guitar center yesterday trying out amps,Almost every guitar sales guy and regular joe came over to ask me about it.After picking it up the GC guy described it as "just like a PRS"and "its really nice...its kinda scary"I think he was worried about a slight drop off in PRS sales that day.I tried a custom 22 with a $2,300 price tag, and it looked, felt, and sounded cheaper than mine.Mine was 1400,but i got $100 worth of options on it. Members B Money
Floyds are a standard option on the Carvin CTS guitars. You can also get them with a fixed bridge or a Wilkinson. Cost is around $1300 for a CTS6 (top of the line flame top). Gold tops are cheaper
Members ratkent
My CT4 was somewhere between 1200 and 1300.
