Members septopus
I've always liked Hammett's solo in "My Friend Of Misery" and my current fave is Paul McCartney in "Promise To You Girl"
Members Felix959
Mick Taylor, "Love in Vain" First show at the Spectrum in Philadelphia, July 21, 1972. Gut-wrenching slide work that makes the whole venue resonate with sorrow. Mick Jagger shrugging it off, daring him on with "don't try too hard." Members blindvomit
Children of Bodom - Hatebreeder I know alot of you might not like this type of music, and this song might not be their best but the solo for this thing is wicked catchy and so powerful, everytime I hear it it makes the hairs on the back of my neck and my arms stand up. It's just so perfect.

Members ratkent
I have to say Bohemian Rhapsody as well. Another example of a "perfect solo for the song" for me is also Mathias Jabs on "Rock You Like a Hurricane." It's so cliche but it just does it for me. Members twolostsouls
Originally posted by guitar-fish I read an interview with Roger Waters, he said David Gilmour originally had a different solo for Comfortably Numb, but was unhappy with it, so he went away for a week and came up with the one in the song. The thing is, the other guys in Floyd said they liked the first one better. Gilmour and Waters got in a big tussle about it, but Gilmour prevailed. It would be cool to hear the unrelased one. I have the demo recording in which the outro solo is completely different. I like the one on the record better, but if you want the demo, PM me.
