Hi Ho!

I love my ESP EC-1000 with JB/59 Pickups. I would like to try some different sounds though. I am playing it through a Traynor YCV50, and I really like the mix.

I can get some variation with the tone and pick up selectors.

What would be a different guitar to cover the other end of the spectrum?

A strat? I have a Peavey Raptor w/ SSH PUPs. Maybe I have not really explored strats.

I really liked a Telecaster with double humbuckers I played, and also a Godin strat-type guitar. It really felt good to play.

An Ibanez SZ520 was awesome to play and pretty to look at.

Wolfgang, Ibanez, Telecaster?

I would spend about $500.

Thanks!

I play the Peavey sometimes. It is OK... but it sounds mushy compared to the ESP.

Maybe some new interesting pickups. the neck and frets feel fine to play.

I'll have to look into that line 6 thing.

A great local player used a line 6 amp. It sounds great to me. Too bad so many HC members say line 6 makes garbage amps.

Oop!.. That's info from the amp forum! Sorry!
