Members rlm297
Everyone has always raved about "Siamese Dream"'s guitar sound. For me, it's always been how "transparent" and how the vocals just kind of "float" in the mix. How did they do this in terms of mixing? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1N_qX_r4Iw (1:20 and anywhere, he raises his voice.. you can best hear the mixing effect.) Is this a filter? They said in Vieuporia that they used a Mu-Tron Biphase on everything, could that be it?

Members zooLemon
There's a Butch Vig Q&A forum on (I think) Gearslutz where he answers some questions about this. He said that Corgan's voice paired really well with a 57. Not sure what other processing might be on it.
