...something that's like measuring tape but for chords? I have 25fters that look like a tangled mess after a while, but I don't want 10fters cause I like to wander around whilst I play.

 

Anything that coils up the chord, you pull out whatever length you want and holds it, then press a button and the thing automatically sucks up the chord with such unimaginable force that it can slice your face off???

I have something like that with a power cable. It bolts to the ceiling. Maybe you could mod one and bolt it to the amp. A hardware store would have it.

cords end up like that because you turn in one direction only.

I know they used to - I remember seeing one not long ago in a local music store. The box looked pretty old, like it had been there a while. Maybe I'll stop back and see if it's still there....
