Members jrfan
Main difference is a Dinky is a bolt on neck and the soloist is neck thru construction.
Members bubkus_jones
Arguably better wood and construction on the Soloists (I've got a dinky, but I've never played a Soloist for any longer than about 30 seconds, stupid impatient sister not wanting to stay in the store). I know that at least up till recently, Dinky's had lower-quality Floyd copies (on Floyd equipped guitars), whereas Soloists have had OFR's for a few years now. I believe that 2006 Dinkys are coming with OFR's as well, on the higher models. Also, Dinky's have a scallop on the lower cutaway to help with upper fret access.
