Dealers who checkout and setup the guitar before shipping2. Dealers who leave the guitar in the box and ship it without ever seeing the guitar. Members dwerlin Posted October 31, 2006 Members Share Posted October 31, 2006 i prefer brand new in the box. i wouldn't care for a dealer setup unless he asked my preferences first. if the dealer just set up all the guitars how he likes them, i may have to re-setup the guitar to my likings anyhow so it'd be a waste. When I have gotten guitars that've been setup though it is much appreciated. I've gotten a couple that were setup so well I actually had to raise the action a little.
