i learned to change the pu's myself and i basically suck at everything. durring this pu change, i also learned, righty tighty lefty lossey...
the pup change came out good so you should have no problem
do some research and change 'em yourself. beats spending 20 bucks. what's the worst that could go wrong? probably the worst thing you can do unless you're an idiot and assuming you've never soldered before is make a mess of solder all over the place but the pickups should still work if you can follow directions well.

the little shop in my area charges $20. an hour for any kind of work.

years ago, i had that place install emg pickups for me, cos the schematics provided didnt accomodate a two volume and tone combonation.

it took them 25 minutes to fix it up for me. they still rounded it up to $10.
