Members Karma1 Posted April 20, 2007 Members Share Posted April 20, 2007 I recently spoke to someone from the company that makes the Tone Tubby speakers, which happens to be in the town where I live and he told me that in the next week or so, they are coming out with a new 8" speaker. I'm looking at various speakers to put in my silverface Vibro Champ and have mostly been hearing about Weber's for these. But the hemp cone Tone Tubby's could be interesting. They will sell for $90, which is expensive for an 8", but not much more than a Weber. I've heard great things about Tone Tubby's and Santana, who is my main influence, uses them. Anybody here had any experience with them? Are they worth the extra $? Also, any other 8" speaker recommendations - in particular, those with lots of clean headroom that do not break up early?
