NGD - MIM Deluxe Super Strat

I just acquired a '97 MIM Deluxe Series Super Strat. Awesome guitar, really.

3-tone burst over ash....one visible seam, looks to be 2 pieces. Maple board. MJ frets...gold hardware...tortise shell guard. And the (this model only!) "Super Fat Strat pickups" according to the Fender site. Everyone on the FDP reviews has said these are a cross between the Tex Mex and Texas Specials...and i think they're right on. And there's the button to get 7 pickup combos (including the cool neck/bridge one...i dont' care for the "all-3" combo).

The guitar sets up real nice, plays effortlessly (I love strats) and looks like a million bucks. These were replaced with the current Deluxe Players model (with a 12" board and Vintage Noiseless pups), but I favor the older model with a 9.5" board and the aforementioned pups.

I can't post pics at work, but I wanted to know, does anyone else have one of these under-appreciated Strats. Really top notch craftsmanship on this one and i'm in Strat heaven.
