Members Padre Posted July 6, 2007 Members Share Posted July 6, 2007 I don't know what exactly compelled me to do this but I'm going to give a go at building a Warmoth strat. Actually, the reason is that I laid hands on an ESP Will Adler and really like the neck profile but not much of anything else. So this is what I have on order: Hollow Alder with Maple Top Strat: Wenge with Ebony Fretboard Neck (1 3/4" nut, std thin) OFR Trem & Mini Locking Shallers. I'm in search of a bridge pickup that can do a warm clean and slight hair on the distortion sound. I've listened to the samples on the Seymour Duncan site and I think I like the JB Bridge and Distortion. I'll be using this guitar for mostly U2 (dirty sounds), and don't laugh, country twang. Yes I know, wrong & wrong, but I wanted something that no one else has. Any thoughts on these or other pickups that might suit my needs? What about "coil tap" pickups?
