Members dilin Posted July 15, 2007 Members Share Posted July 15, 2007 Hi guys, I've have recently scored a Samick Artist Series Les Paul (many thanks to larryguitar for his information), and I would like to change the pups... I have SD59's already in another Samick LP, the Avion 3, so I would like other alternatives... My influences are Cream/Bluesbreakers' Clapton, Jeff Beck (Truth/Beck-Ola), Page, Green (early Fleetwood Mac). Any suggestions? Thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Members larryguitar Posted July 15, 2007 Members Share Posted July 15, 2007 If it were mine, I'd go with a JB in the bridge and an Air Norton in the neck, assuming that mixing SD's and DiMarzio's won't cause the universe to implode or anything. Of course, I'm old and play seventies rock, so take that into account. I did have a mahogany set-neck with Air Nortons in both positions, and while the Air Norton was very good in the bridge, it was absolutely fantastic in the neck. Best 'rock' neck p/u ever, IMHO.
