Members GarysBlues Posted August 22, 2007 Members Share Posted August 22, 2007 Different pick-up configurations. I have MANY with different pups and the Tone seriously varys. For example, I don't know if you played the FMT Fender Tele. Its a Dual humbucker model with a set-neck and coil-tap options. This particular Tele definatly strays from the usual Tele Tone! I owned a Thin-Line with a Humbucker in the neck that was a very different sounding Tele also.For me..........I like to stick with the basic Tele with the usual Bridge pick-up. But I like to change around the Neck pick-up. Right Now.......I'm playing THIS! And am very happy with its Tone. But as I mentioned above, I have owned and played Teles with various neck pups that have had various Tones. No right or wrong about it......just the way it is. Depends what exactly your looking for.
