Members leftyjazzbass
And some info on an Ebay store I have had my eyes on for a while. I just bought this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=180168655697&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=008 I shot them an offer of $300.00 even ($80.00 less then their BIN price) and they accepted (about an hour later). I have been thinking about getting one of these for a little while, it's an all solid wood acoustic/electric bass. Musicians Friend sells them for $439.00: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Alvarez-Masterworks-Series-MSB1-Small-Acoustic-Bass?sku=518826 It looks like they may short me the gigbag the guitar normally comes with and it may take a while for them to ship (looks like he takes a week to ship) but for $100.00 off (if you figure in shipping) on this guitar I can live with that. They have an unique business model (for Ebay) and I figured other people might find all this interesting. They seem as if their extremely willing to deal and if you can live with the shipping issue (after MF.com waiting a week for shipment doesn't seem like a big deal) you can probably find yourself a few decent deals. I actually shot them my offer as a goof, I didn't expect them to accept it! I will update this thread concering the sellers communication, customer service, and the condition of their merchandise (in this case just the guitar itself). If I had done my homework better I could have probably spent less for the bass, check out this auction from the same seller ($275.00), ugh : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180162001517 Oh well, live and learn. This is what the guitar looks like:
