Members woodsmandan Posted November 23, 2007 Members Share Posted November 23, 2007 A question for the DIY guys...the 3 way switch is dying on my MIM Tele, and I want to replace it with a better one, and swap the pots for better ones. My first reflex is to buy Fender USA parts, but is there better alternatives ? As for the volume pot, what value do i need for best results (250k, 500k ???) ? And I want to either put a Fender zero load tone pot, or bypass the tone and replace it by a switch that would bypass the volume, so I could choose to have an active volume pot or a signal that goes directly from the pick ups to the amp...anyone would have a wiring solution for the latter option ?
