Members jabney Posted November 3, 2006 Members Share Posted November 3, 2006 I'm using a Tripath chip (in a slightly modified SI) powering a modified pair of single driver (alnico) Heathkit acoustic suspension loudspeakers. (Sorry, I'm not giving out the driver size or model number of the Heathkit speakers until I have a chance to pick up another pair :-) Funny thing is, I lent another SI to a friend for his kids to use with their Halloween costumes (a jack-in-the-box plus operator). I'd could try to credit the SI since they won the contest, but then they have won the last few years unamplified. As for the SI's, they really do need a hundred or so hours of break-in time before they start sounding good.
