Members zakkfaerum
Hey everyone. I have a very nice Limited Edition Copper Les Paul Studio and I think I need a change in pickups!! They are currently stock!! I guess the style that I would be going for would be harder modern rock. I don't like the scooped mid sound (I actually turn my mids up some, haha). I play through various Marshalls (JCM800, JMP) and Mesa Rectos. I'm looking for some advice of what kind of pickups you would suggest!! Thanks a lot!! Members vexed73
I am running a Dimarzio PAF JOE in the neck and a Norton in the bridge. This is a good combination but I find the Norton a little bright sometimes and just right others but the PAF JOE is perfect. I especially like it in split mode makes the les paul very versital. I think you should also check BG pickups as they have some great pickups but just like the PAF JOE so soo much never found a better neck humbucker. I had a BG BUCKER in the bridge of a PRS that I liked a bunch if it had just a bit more scream it would be the most perfect bridge pickup but tied with the Dimarzio Breed for now which is saying something as I love the breed!
