Members Guitzilla
I'm putting together a Warmoth seven string. http://www.warmoth.com/guitar/bodies/7_string.cfm?fuseaction=7ct I've got the following parts: 7 string schaller floyd, Dimarzio Blaze and Evolution I know that I want a Zebrawood top and a maple neck with a rosewood board. Should I get ash or alder for the body wood?Brian
Members Big Muff
I'm not really familiar with the tonal qualities of zebrawood, but I know that a maple neck will be rather bright sounding. Perhaps you should go with mahogany for the body to balance out the brightness? Also, make sure you go with an extended scale length, something longer than 25.5. Members ozzuk1
Mahogany or zebra wood should be fine.. I think 25.5 or whatever Warmoth use for their seven's is the only option... Ahh just realise they are 25" PRS scale no options unless they do special custom orders for longer scales....
Members mdog114
I did a 28.625" model a few years ago, I call it "The Beast". Warmoth makes great stuff!
