Delta DLE Gold Mod (LP copy)

I just have the knobs left.

 

I'm thinking black Gibson speed knobs. I was looking on the GC site and it seems as if all the LPs pictured have gold Gibson top hat knobs.

 

I like the gold top look of my Delta and Les Pauls, but don't you think that so much gold color is over doing it?

 

The Black Les Pauls have gold knobs which is fine - they can contrast nicely. I'm just wondering why the gold Les Pauls don't have black knobs for contrast.

 

Here is the guitar before the mod:

 

I put in new DiMarzio pickups (Neck: PAF Pro, Bridge: Fred) and new 500K pots wired to Les Paul Standard specs so imagine that the pickups are now black. The color of the top of the headstock is also black.

 

Don't you think that black knobs would look better than gold?
