Members rebelzed Posted May 2, 2008 Members Share Posted May 2, 2008 Noob here, with a quick question. :poke: So I'm buying a new guitar/amp when I get my "economic stimulus" check. I'm mainly a rock/metal player with some blues/country/jazz thrown in occasionally. I'm looking to spend around $450-500 US, but can go a little more or less depending on what I find/what you suggest. These are 2 guitars I've found and played in the local Guitar Center and liked them both. Which do you think is the better guitar? Or if you have a better suggestion for the price range, I'm all ears too. Members Dr. Taz Posted May 2, 2008 Members Share Posted May 2, 2008 I'd push the Ibby on you, but personally, some of the newer Jacksons have me changing my mind a bit. The only reason my last guitar purchase was an Ibanez was because Jackson didn't (at the time for me, and still don't) have a fairly cheap 7 string that I'd love to have over anything. I don't think I'll get another 7 string anytime soon, though if did, the Xiphos 7 would rock. I'd swap the neck pu for a DiMarzio PAF or Air Norton 7, though; having 2 D-Activators is kind of annoying for me. I've been able to find other colors of the DXMG's at the GC stores in the NYC area. Yeah, I don't want another black guitar myself. One is enough for now (the 7321 7 string, love the neck on it). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
