Members jazzvi
Hi everyone. Im thinking of changing the tuners on my Epi Riviera. I've changed everything, pickups, all the circuitry, I added a Bigsby B7 and now plays, sounds and looks stunning...BUT...it still goes out of tune constantly, so I have to upgrade the tuners and I will finally have a good guitar. I was thinking of buying the Kluson pearl tuners, to give it the Gibson ES touch. I've seen a lot of brands that have a model called "Kluson": Kluson itself, Schaller, Tonepros, GOTOH....so I dont really know which one is better! What brand you prefer? Another important thing: does anybody know the hole size of my Riviera? I've seen tuners of every measure: 8.5mm,9mm,10mm... Shouldn't have any problem replacing them myself, or is it a tricky mod? Thanks for reading.
Members Alan Roberts
Before you replace the tuners, you should check to see if the nut is properly cut and make sure that the strings are neatly wound. That's usually the cause of most tuning problems.
