Members InvalidUserName
Hi all, I own a firepod, and after all I've read, I honestly don't trust 100% its sound quality. I'm still happy with my recordings, but I'd like to compare with other pre's (I already own a Groove Tubes' Brick) and ADCs, so I was thinking about buying an Apogee Mini Me, and at least I'll take advantage of the SPDIF input, having up to 10 mic inputs. First of all, I'd like to know if somebody has tested this configuration and if by doing this I am facing any problems, like eg synchronization, jitter, etc. Am I right supposing that the firepod will use the Mini Me's clock if I connect both units, so the the samples on all channels (8 from the firepod + 2 from the Mini Me) (supposing I set the same sample rate on both, of course) will be taken at the rate the mini me's clock is setting? Will the sampling process be somehow improved using a (theoretically) better clock? What's your opinion about both gadgets? Thanks a lot in advance,IUN.
