Members LesPaulCustom79 Posted May 19, 2008 Members Share Posted May 19, 2008 Back when the Crowes got started in Marietta, GA. they used all Marshall 1980's JCM800's, 2203 100 watts with 4X12 cabs for good while, at least through their first few CD's. I'm not familiar with Schreyer but a Roccaforte Custom 80 sounds more like a Marshall Plexi's raw rock tone than the new Marshall reissues do. Roccaforte amps are perfect for anyone playing clean channel, pedal overdriven, raw rock 'n roll, ex: AC/DC, Black Crowes, Led Zeppelin, etc...etc...
